Title: How do neurons take their shapes? Abstract: Because neuron morphology is of pivotal importance to the physiology and connectivity of neurons, understanding how neurons take their shapes (i.e., neuronal morphogenesis) has been a major goal of neuroscience. Despite a large volume of literature on neuronal morphogenesis, fundamental problems remain unsolved. Specifically, there have been few unifying theories that explain diverse morphologies of neurons. In this lecture, Dr. Bing Ye will discuss the challenges in the field and present recent studies from his laboratory. 报告人介绍:BING YE, Ph.D. Burton L.
